Woody’s Window Exhibition

6 May

This Friday saw the installation and unveiling of our much anticipated window ehhibition by Zara Wood aka Woody. Running alongside the Creating Characters Workshop happening May 26th Zara will be introducing a new character to the window every few days…

Here’s a little bit about the workshop…
Creating Characters combines drawing and embroidery along with techniques of coming-up with characters and tips on sourcing inspiration. It is a two-fold workshop featuring Zara Wood and textile designer Amy Phipps. Firstly spend time with Zara creating your very own character – pick up useful tips on sourcing inspiration, fully utilising your sketchbook and ‘getting into’ the creative process. Then work with both Amy & Zara on translating your character through hand embroidery onto fabric.

Take home a sketchbook full of ideas and an embroidery hoop ready to hang on the wall framing your very own creation. Plus the confidence & motivation to continue creating.

Attendees should bring their own sketchbooks and favourite pen, along with any specific fabric or threads of their choice to personalise their own creations. We will provide basic drawing equipment plus the haberdashery kit to make the embroidery hoop character.

*£40 per head including refreshment and basic embroidery kit*

20 places max to allow for one to one tuition.

Booking is essential and full payment must be taken on booking. Email us at supersuperHQ@gmail.com or call us on 01273 773910 to book over the phone via debit & credit cards.
