Last Sunday we opened our doors to the papercut extraordinaire that is Lou Taylor. Well known in the paper cutting sphere we were delighted when she decided to run a workshop with us here at Super+Super.
So over plenty a cup of tea and some homemade flapjack (thanks lou) we set to work learning this exciting craft. I actually attended the class too and I must say that handing me a sharp blade to work with was pretty daunting at first but with Lou’s expert tuition, some top tips and a stocked up first aid kit (which didn’t need to be used I might add..!) we all quickly picked it up and set out to recreate some of Lou’s awesome papercut designs…
This is an ideal class for anyone who wants to learn a new craft or wants to try something different. After the 2.5 hour class I left feeling very chuffed with my new found skills and am already planning peoples birthday cards and presents around said skills. Score! (literally!)

Hello All! Here are a few sneaky snaps from last Saturday’s first Brighton Blogger’s Bash….
Many Thanks to Stephanie Pomfrett for holding this event, and all the lovely chap’s and Chapesse’s who showed up for an exciting afternoon of talks, tip swapping and Bloggers bingo! A great day was had by all. Watch this space for dates of the next bash…
A few weeks back we had a very exciting opportunity! To mark the launch of our crafty creative hub in the heart of Brighton’s south laines the lovely Elena Crisci interviewed us about our super hero launch party and all things creative at Super+Super HQ. 3 cups of tea and a house rabbit later we were off. Take a look at our Mollie Makes debut… we are totally thrilled!
Super+Super hit Fabrica last Tuesday to take part in a jubilee holiday craft event full of free crafty tutorials being organised by none other than the uber creative Craftaganza crew! Think beautiful church setting packed with East Sussex’s finest creative craft sellers and those looking to impart some of their skills with anyone wanting to join in and have fun! Hand embroidered hanky’s was our craft of choice and boy did we stitch em’.
Many thanks go out to Zoe the power behind this amazing event! We had a really great day and are already plotting crafty treats for the winter event!
To book a place on one of our Classes or for more information about Crafty Parties and private events email email@example.com or call us on 01273 773910.
If you are pottering in Brighton town tomorrow (Tuesday 5th) do pop in to Fabrica between 10am and 1.30pm and get your stitch on. Us Super+Super gals are hosting a morning of free Hand Embroidery tutorials. Hand Embroidered hanky’s to be precise!
Due to the unstructured nature of the event, attendees will be encouraged to jump in and start learning on arrival and just have a go! There will be numerous examples, books and hand outs to inspire and instruct. We will encourage learners to generate their own designs and colour combinations, to work with mixing different types of yarns to push any pre-conceived ideas about hand embroidery.
All you need to bring is yourself, S+S will be providing the embroidery threads and yarns, embroidery needles, printed hand-outs of stitch techniques, cotton handkerchiefs and plenty of books, magazines and images to inspire!!!
See you there…. craftaganza rules!
